Growth and Scale have a 14-day trial that you can start without a card, and we do not charge for it. You can cancel a paid plan at any time: you keep its features until the end of the current billing period, and your account then continues on the Free plan unless you close it.
Starting a trial
The trial lasts 14 days from the day it starts, and you can cancel it at any time. There is one trial per organisation. We may end or refuse a trial where we believe it is being used to avoid paying for the service, for example by opening several accounts.
When the trial ends
The paid plan continues only if you add a payment method and confirm, and we then charge you from the day after the trial ends. If you do not continue, your account moves to the Free plan with its limits and features, so the GrantCookie mark returns to the banner. Your configuration and consent log are kept.
Cancelling a paid plan
Email support@grantcookie.com, or cancel in the application if it offers that option. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, unless section 12.1 or 15.2 of our terms lets you cancel with immediate effect, and you keep the paid plan’s features until it takes effect. On annual billing, the plan runs to the end of the year you have paid for.
Fees are paid in advance. If you cancel, we do not refund the rest of the billing period or banner views you did not use. The exceptions, such as where the law gives you a right to a refund, are listed in section 6.7.2 of our terms.
Moving to a lower plan instead
A move to a lower plan takes effect at the end of the current billing period. If the lower plan allows fewer domains, disconnect the extra ones first. Features the lower plan does not include stop at that point.
Closing your account
You can close your account at any time by emailing support@grantcookie.com from the email address on your account. When it closes, we stop serving the banner on your domains, so remove the banner script from your websites.
For 30 days after closure, we will give you a copy of your consent log and your configuration if you ask. Ask privacy@grantcookie.com for the consent log and support@grantcookie.com for your configuration. After those 30 days, we delete your customer content, except anything the law requires us to keep.
