A GrantCookie account: the Free plan costs nothing and needs no card. Then paste one script tag into the head of your site, before your analytics tags.

One script tag works on any site. There are set-up guides for WordPress, Shopify and Wix, and any other site works through Google Tag Manager or the JavaScript API.

Yes. The script works with any front end (React, Vue, Angular, Svelte, Next, Nuxt or plain HTML) and exposes events so your app can react when consent changes.

No. The script loads asynchronously and does not block rendering.

Yes. A banner collects consent, and a policy explains what you collect and why. The scan gives you the cookie inventory the policy needs, and the cookie policy generator turns it into draft text for you to review and publish.

16. Select the laws that apply to you. Where opt-in applies, as under the GDPR, non-essential cookies wait until the visitor chooses; where a US opt-out law applies, cookies can run until the visitor opts out; where the law works on notice, the banner gives the notice and records the choice.

Yes. Reject all sits beside Accept all, at the same size, and no optional category is switched on until the visitor turns it on.

Yes. Visitors can reopen their preferences at any time and change their choice.

With Google Consent Mode v2 on, Google’s tags stay loaded but send cookieless pings, so Google can still model conversions without setting the cookies the visitor refused. Non-Google tags are blocked until consent is given.

Yes, on Ultimate. On Free, Basic and Pro, the banner carries the GrantCookie mark. Basic, Pro and Ultimate give advanced customisation, and Free has standard customisation.

Each page load on your website that runs the GrantCookie script. Each website has its own plan, and its pageviews count towards that plan’s monthly allowance, which resets on the first of the month. Ask support@grantcookie.com and we will tell you how many pageviews have been counted.

We email you to discuss moving to a plan that fits your traffic. There are no automatic overage fees, and we do not charge for the extra pageviews without agreeing it with you first. If your pageviews stay above the allowance and we cannot agree a plan within a reasonable time, we may, after giving you notice, limit the service to your plan’s allowance or suspend it, as our terms describe.

Basic, Pro and Ultimate each have a 14-day trial, and you do not need a card to start it. There is one trial per organisation, and we do not charge for it. The paid plan continues only if you add a payment method and confirm, and we then charge you from the day after the trial ends. If you do not continue, the website moves to the Free plan with its limits and features. Your configuration is kept, and the consent log keeps records as the Free plan does: for 30 days, after which they are anonymised.

Yes. Email support@grantcookie.com, or use the application where it offers the option. A move to a higher plan takes effect when you confirm it, and before you confirm we tell you what you will be charged. A move to a lower plan takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and features it does not include stop at that point. You can cancel a paid plan at any time: you keep its features until the end of the current billing period, and the website then continues on the Free plan unless you close your account.

Fees are paid in advance. If you cancel, we do not refund the rest of the billing period or pageviews you did not use. The exceptions, such as where the law gives you a right to a refund, are listed in section 6.7.2 of our terms.

No. We provide the tooling and defaults that regulators expect. For your specific obligations, talk to a lawyer.

No. Our data processing agreement applies to every plan, with nothing to sign. For a countersigned copy, the sub-processor list or a security review, write to privacy@grantcookie.com.

It depends on the website’s plan: 90 days on Basic, 180 days on Pro and one year on Ultimate. On Free, records are kept for 30 days and older records are anonymised. You can also instruct us under the data processing agreement to delete records earlier.

On paid plans, yes. Send us a CSV export from your current platform and we will import it, so your audit trail stays continuous.

Only what you allow. Our website asks first: it sets Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them in the banner, and small necessary cookies to remember your choice. Once you sign in, the application sets only the cookies it strictly needs to keep your session and to protect the forms you submit. Our cookie policy lists every cookie.

Yes. You need each client’s authority to do so, and you are responsible to us for the use of the service on their websites as if they were your own. Install the banner script only on domains you have connected in the application and have the right to control.

Each website has its own plan, so each client site can be on the plan that fits its traffic: Basic is $10 a month for 100,000 pageviews, Pro is $25 a month for 300,000 and Ultimate is $55 a month for unlimited pageviews. One account holds all your websites.
